Hello, I have recently updated the Clan Roster to show the National Flag from each country of our members. Originally I had the English flag (St Georges Cross) on there but some members requested that we change it for the Union Jack. So it has been changed.

This has started a debate by members from my household that they feel we should have the Union Jack and the St Georges Cross.

So I want you first to go to the Clan Roster and take a look, then come back and give your views because I want it to be absolutely correct and everyone to be satisfied that they have had their input and are happy.

Well Daddy, i say we should have the English one back and then in future if we get people from Wales, Scotland or Ireland join then we put their flags up too, because at the moment the Union Jack doesn't represent the Welsh flag or the Irish flag in any way, shape or form. Where's the orange and green in it and where's the dragon off of the Welsh flag. I think it would be better to have each countries flag on there

I say St Georges Cross,also i concur with what Abi said about Wales,Scotland and Ireland so there.

I'm in favour of the Union Flag.....

Interesting comments, as not to disappointment anyone why not have the Union flag and the St Georges Cross. That way all are happy. Then if we do get members from Wales. Ireland or Scotland we can just add those too.

I agree that the St Georges cross should be included, as English people are proud of their country and wish to show this. The same applies to the Scottish, Irish and welsh nationalities. All flags should be represented or it will look as though we are favouring England. The union Jack should also be available for those who prefer it and those like myself with mixed heritage. I have Scottish ancestors and would personally use the Union Jack.

Agreed, i like the idea of each nation having it's own flag
