Well I think you have expressed your opinion pretty well. You did however miss the part of constantly getting kicked by PunkBuster. Seems that many servers have failed to update their files and loads of players are constantly getting kicked. Once kicked they follow the instructions to update manually their PunkBuster files at http://www.evenbalance.com this then doesn't work either and the frustration sets in. The servers need to be updated as well. There are a few servers to get a game on that I presume have updated their server PB files but they are few and far between.

As for MW2, that has been around for a few months now, still the same old problems with cheats and hackers and the VAC system does nothing. There have been no new maps or DLC's if you like but lots of speculation about this spread all over the net. Nothing concrete was ever mentioned from Infinity Ward though to be fair but on saying that I personally feel it could do with some new maps, a decent anti cheat program and the most important, dedicated servers.

So where are we then, new games to try out that are as you say not ready for sale and need to be finished by way of patches. We have obviously been spoilt with the Call Of Duty series except for the last release and now we constantly compare them to new releases in the hope that we can satisfy our insatiable lust for a decent cheat free game with new content. I have noticed that Call Of Duty 4 has been steadily moving its way back up the charts again. I can't say I blame them for making the return if new game releases are of the quality of MW2 and BFBC2.

Just to add that having said these things about the above mentioned games that I do try and perservere with them for a while in the hope that a patch may fix them but how long should we have to wait?

There is DEFINITLY new DLC in the works and VAC is doing Lots but it works in Batch not in small quantity, it bans 10,000 people at once then sets on getting more information. The best idea i can suggest is play Assassins Creed 2 for a while.

Today we’re happy to announce the release date of the second VIP map package for Battlefield: Bad Company 2! It will be made available on the 30th of March on all platforms at no extra cost to all of you who’ve got your VIP codes entered in the game. VIP Map Pack 2 contains the following:


Arica Harbor Conquest mode - US Command launches a break through action directly at the Russian base. Collateral damage is of no consequence. Capture and secure tactical positions in Conquest Mode across the vast Arica Harbor map.

How do you get a V.I.P code?

Thats a good question Andy. Have been looking around to see what the options are. Some say you get it in the game box when you buy it new. So I take it that the code you enter to play the game and register it would indeed be your VIP code. I think from reading some forums posts that it only really applies to the consoles as the PC users will get it free anyhow. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong with this info.

You have to be a former player of the Battlefield series ie Battlefield 2142 or Bf2 or Bf Vietnam. Cant remember the website adress but its on the scrolling banner at the bottom of the game when ur in the main menu

So if you register your game to the same EA account as another battlefield game, you get a V.I.P code? well i have the complete collection of Battlefield 2 and i have 2142 so its lookin' good if i get it to havin' one
