I have to say i didn’t expect much of the game and doubted that i would get it all together. However after seeing most people in my xfire friends list playing it, i decided to go to the shops and buy it.
After not experiencing the beta i had no idea what i was getting myself into it but after playing the game for a few hours i was pleasantly surprised.
@ Overlord - I don't think you can really compared BFBC 2 to the Cod Series as it’s a completely different game. Yes the graphics are **** in comparison to cod but it brings a new dimension to the gaming generation. Tanks, mortars, heli's, medics and engineers are things that you never experience in cod. Even though i still can't fly that damn heli, i am enjoying the game.
It might not have as many game types but the ones we have are different to the ones we are use to. I love playing Rush, Conquest is like a big version of Dom and Squad Deathmatch brings you good inter-clan fun.
I do agree with you on the map issue Overlord. Playing the same old maps is already getting boring .
Once they work on the server issues, i think the game will be a great success and hopefully it can develop into a good scrimming game along with cod.
BFBC2 game name - Danstheman

Some news about Battlefield Bad Company 2 and included in this post is the very thing we were talking about, the VIP code. It states that PC users will get the DLC free. Oh Yeah !!! Battlefield Bad Company 2 is currently on target to become the top selling title of March 2010. With over 2.3 million units sold it has become the best-selling March release on record in North America and Europe. With 46 reviews awarding Bad Company 2 over 90 or higher (allowing for converting to a score out of 100 by www.metacritic.com) it is no wonder Battlefield Bad Company 2 is showing such strength in numbers throughout the game stats and social media networks: 81 billion points have been earned in online multiplayer sessions 43 million weapons and gadgets have been unlocked in online multiplayer Over 6 million video views on YouTube 2.9 million hours have been spent playing online in the last 24 hours alone 230k peak-concurrent-users (PCUs) Over 44k Twitter fans (most out of any EA title) http://twitter.com/OfficialBFBC2 Bad Company 2 has proven so popular that our servers experienced such overwhelming demand that EA and DICE have had to add even more hardware to handle the player numbers. We continue to monitor online play daily to make sure everyone can play as well as continue to work on the game for future updates and DLC which you can get at no extra cost with the VIP code (PC BFBC2 players will get the content in the form of downloads without the need for a VIP code).

What is this DLC and when do we get it.
Puggy i think the reason this game as taken off so well is because of the **** game MW2.

Hey Russ, The DLC consists of the new maps etc and will be available on the 30th March. I will imagine when you start your game up it will update automatically on the day. I agree with you about MW2, EA sat there and watched carefully and it seems they also listened to the PC community when they asked for dedicated servers. Well that is just what they gave them and wow it is a popular game at the moment. Lets hope they can get a couple of things fixed soon to make it a more stable. Just to warn you all that the cheats have already arrived but are being picked up well by punkbuster.

They may have watched IW a lot but they've still screwed up royally. EA Online is about 4x worse than IWNet. MW2 since BFBC2 came out has become a lot less populated by the scum of the earth that are the average tubing spawn camping noobs that used to populated every server you ever go on. I keep finding myself moving away from BFBC2 and going back to MW2 and ive noticed that other people are now doing the same from other clans. EA online seems to crash once a day at least and when it does get working you get spawn raped in Conquest and Rush. The whole "You have to be on an active internet connection to play" bs is really starting to get annoying with RTS games like CnC4 which is also made by EA is also a you must be on the internet to play list and thats just for their Single player. That now joins the list of games that are spoiled by forced internet connection also consisting of MW2(Activision), BFBC2(EA), Assassin's Creed 2(Ubisoft), Left For Dead(Valve). EA seem to be following Ubisoft which means that they'll slowly become hated and someone will attack their DRM system.
Also on the DLC front you guys know that Dice aren't actually bring out NEW maps right? They're just opening up the ones that are in the other game types for you to use where are MW2 will be bringing 2 new maps and 2 old maps into the game play bringing back Crash and Overgrown which should be good. We were discussing a couple of months back what it would be like to bring out an Old skl map pack with all the old CoD4 maps in like Crossfire and Backlot which are many peoples favourite maps. Seems they're gunna try it ^^
